VIDEO: Art teacher launches new gallery in Pulborough
Wendy Yates has been an art teacher for 35 years and decided that she would like to build a ‘Clay and Glass Gallery’ in a bid to attract local people and eventually develop a community hub for fellow artists.
“We moved here three year ago and have done a lot of work to it so far, we have a couple of acres out there which is just right for building studios so people can eventually come here and work without paying exorbitant rates,” said the 57-year-old.

“I’d like more interaction, whereby I’m selling stuff but work with people and say ‘what is it you want?’”
The Cranleigh School teacher also runs ‘Clay n Glaze’ a mobile pottery painting business.
The gallery is open everyday 11am to 7pm. Visit www.claynglaze.co.uk
