Bosham sail making company switches to manufacturing PPE visors
Batt Sails, which is based in Delling Lane, Bosham, is raising funds to cover essential materials and distribution costs so that it can provide visors to Registered Carers and Hospices for free.
A computer cutting facility at the sail loft is also being used to cut hospital scrubs ready for local volunteer groups to sew.

Hide AdDick Batt, the founder of Batt Sails, said: “All we have been hearing on the news and on social media is about the drastic shortage of PPE and I knew we could use our facilities to produce visors.
“We have adapted our sail making facility in Bosham and are now manufacturing and distributing high quality PPE visors on a not-for-profit basis.
“A notable feature is their comfort and the protection they afford to the forehead/hair.”
Mr Batt is urging members of the public to donate to the cause by visiting the fundraising page here.
