A West Sussex County Council spokesperson said: “A contained outbreak at a care home has caused an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Selsey.
“We wish to reassure local residents that the outbreak has been contained, but if they develop COVID-19 symptoms they should self-isolate immediately and book a free test as soon as possible at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
“The best way to prevent the spread of infection is to follow national lockdown rules, wash your hands regularly, wear a face covering when required and to maintain a social distance from others outside of your household.
