Roger Dakin, one of the presenters, said everyone works on the station for free, presenting two-hour slots throughout the day.
He said, “We’re keen to get more local people listening to us, we want to push ourselves out there more.”
The stations can take requests and broadcast dedications to patients, something Roger said gives people ‘a lift’ when they’re in hospital – especially due to current circumstances meaning that visitors are limited.
He said, “It’s a very important service in the hospital.”

Radio DGH runs off sponsorship money from local businesses, and fundraisers – something Roger says usually keeps them ‘financially stable’ but can be ‘tough at times’.
