1066 Specials players receive awards
Les Andrews, who has been the club treasurer since its formation, announced his retirement.
Les was presented with a pewter tankard by Harold Lawrence, founder and chairman of the trustees, as a mark of appreciation for the dependable service that he has unstintingly and willingly given to the Specials for nearly a decade.

Hide AdLes also received, from the Mayor, the Paul Borthwick Volunteer of the Year trophy. John Griffith, president of Bexhill Rotary Club, presented the club with a cheque for £500, which was a donation from the Rotary Christmas collections.
Janice Rhodes, daughter of the late Joe Clodd, was present to award the Joe Clodd Memorial Trophies to the players of the year, who were: Under 12s - Edward Dunlop-Smith; Under 16s - Marvin Kavannagh-Brown; Adults - Joshua Coulthard
All the players received medals in recognition of their achievements throughout the year.
In his closing remarks, club chairman Barry Elphick thanked everyone involved for helping to make the 1066 Specials such a success and more importantly a fun place to be.

Hide AdThe club is growing bigger and stronger, day by day, and he was appreciative of all the hard work put in by all the volunteers, especially the coaches, committee and officers.
