Accident victim Michael gets a bird's eye view
Keen footballer Michael came within an ace of losing his left leg when his scooter was involved in a collision with a car in West Down Road last August.
Surgeons at King s College Hospital hope they have saved the leg and have since given Michael a bone graft to replace some of the five inches lost in the accident.

Taxi driver and classic car collector Dave Smith is a former work colleague of Michael s father Neil.
He felt so sorry for the family s plight that to save Neil the trouble and expense of taking a day off work to drive Michael and his mother, Sandra, to the hospital at Dulwich, he offered to undertake the task.
Dave is a regular exhibitor and helper at the Bexhill 100 Festival of Motoring. Friends held a raffle at their pre-Christmas get together which provided 60 towards the cost of Michael s latest trip. But Dave had an additional surprise for Michael and Sandra and treated them to a trip on the London Eye after the hospital appointment.
