Actress Sue Jameson to judge this year’s Oving Scarecrows
ACTRESS and writer Sue Jameson has been announced as the judge of this year’s Oving Scarecrow Day.
Sue, who plays Esther Lane on BBC show New Tricks, as well as Great Aunt Loretta in Grampa in my Pocket on CBeebies, will decide the winning entry at the popular family event, which takes place on Saturday, May 9.
Ian Mann from Oving Scarecrow Committee said: “The committee are delighted that Sue Jameson has agreed to act as this year’s judge.”
Preparations are well underway with traction engines, children’s activities and craft stalls confirmed. Scarecrows must be displayed by 11am on May 9.
