Adur Fun Day success
The a free community event had been washed out on its original date, May 31, due to strong rain and wind but this time it was a beautiful day.
Organised by Adur Homes, the fun day was then rescheduled for last Sunday at Adur Recreation Ground, in Brighton Road, Shoreham, following the success of last year’s inaugural event.

“The event gave local charities and organisations the opportunity to have a free stall to help raise funds and their profile. Adur Valley Girlguiding gained 38 new members from their stall at the event.
“The dog show proved to be extremely popular, with nearly 200 entries and all proceeds going to Allsorts Dog Rescue.
“There were live performances throughout the day with some popular local bands, including The Purple Shoes, Seeker, and Fragile Creatures. Various young singers also had an opportunity to perform on stage.
