Albion help to 'show racism the red card'
Albion manager Chris Hughton, joined Ini Umotong and Laura Rafferty, who both play for the club’s FA Women’s Super League 2 team, to talk to Brighton and Hove schoolchildren at the event
The day was run in partnership with Albion in the Community (AITC) and Show Racism the Red Card, an anti-racism educational charity which uses football players to help tackle racism in society.

Hide AdMuch of the charity's work focuses on the delivery of educational workshops to young people and adults in their schools, workplaces and at events held in football stadiums across the country.
Ged Grebby, chief executive at Show Racism the Red Card, said: “The campaign has a great relationship with Brighton and Hove Albion FC and they have continued to show fantastic support for Show Racism the Red Card.
“Our team always enjoys working the club and Albion in the Community, who we know do some vital work in the local area.
“Racism continues to be an issue in our society with many people suffering abuse each day. We believe that education is key in challenging racism in society. By working with the next generation in schools we can have a big impact towards eradicating racism and creating a better world in the future.”

Hide AdThe education event was the latest example of the collaborative work done by the club, AITC and Show Racism the Red Card.
Chris Hughton and Liam Rosenior are both patrons of the campaign and feature in the Show Racism the Red Card Hall of Fame, while Tomer Hemed and Beram Kayal also recently appeared at a local Show Racism the Red Card event.
