Are you surprised foodbanks are needed in the Horsham district?
Horsham Matters opened its first foodbank in Horsham in January. Since then it has started another one in Horsham as well as ones in Storrington and Henfield. Tomorrow one will open at Billingshurst United Reformed Church.
Run in partnership with the nationwide Trussell Trust, they are part of the increasing work to help people who cannot afford to buy food.

Hide AdPeople are given vouchers at referral agencies, such as GP surgeries, the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, churches and debt agencies.
These foodbanks build on the existing work of the Horsham Salvation Army and the homelessness charity Ark, which also give out food parcels to those in need.
