Award-winning Chichester restaurateurs reveal plans to retire
Located alongside the A27, it has been run by husband and wife team ‘Cass’ and Viv for the last 14 years.
In addition to a host of local and national awards, the Two AA Rosettes restaurant has featured in both The Good Food Guide and The Michelin Guide for more than a decade.

Hide AdAsked why the time has come to move on Cass said: “I am old, I am 65 this year. Normally people retire at 65, I am told.
“We will be staying in the area, we don’t want to say too much until it is sold but the plan is to go from Cassons in a restaurant to Cassons in your home - nice dinner parties and the such like.”
He admitted ‘you can never give the trade up’, but indicated a holiday might be on the horizon.
Fans of chef Viv’s cooking can take consolation from one of the potential plans too.

Hide AdCass said: “She will want to impact her knowledge so there might be cooking lessons and things like that.”
There have been numerous standout moments for host Cass, but he admitted one stands out.
“Recreating the last dinner on the Titanic comes to mind, that was an amazing night - with the way people dressed for the occasion and the food was wonderful.”
As for the future of the Casson’s site, he said: “Of course we would dearly love to see it continue as a restaurant and continue at the same level we have had it at.”
