Battle Abbey pupils ready for change
Head teacher Judy Clark said: "We have put into place a programme for Year 6, to run after their SATs tests have finished, in order to help prepare them for the transition to senior schools and the greater freedom and responsibilities they will encounter there."
The courses are:
I.M.P.S. '“ a health education initiative which operates out of the Eastbourne D.G.H. whose aim is to provide children with the skills to keep themselves safe, to act promptly to save life or prevent disability and to help others appropriately.

Hide AdCycling Proficiency '“ run by the Local Education Road Safety Officer and ending with a test and a certificate.
Junior Lifeguard certificate '“ a continually assessed course of training resulting in a certificate of competence.
Junior Sports Leadership '“ a course of training involving both theory and practice. For the practical element year 6 played a big part in organising and running the Infant Sports.
Judy commented: "The children have approached each course with great enthusiasm and feel that they have really benefitted from each one".
