Big boost for autism group
GENEROUS customers at Sainsbury's Bexhill store donated £579 to a collection held last Friday, World Autism Awareness Day, when the local branch of the National Autistic Society ran an information desk outside the store.
The branch runs a family support group in Bexhill and also organises special activities for children affected by autism and Aspergers Syndrome. Call 07920 254569 or e-mail: [email protected] for further information.
Sainsbury’s supermarket in Buckhurst Place, currently sponsors the branch as its local charity of the year, and family support group secretary Jean Bishop said: “We are very grateful for all the help we receive from the store’s management and staff.
“We’re a self-supporting group and they have given us so much help we feel it would be nice if it could be acknowledged publicly.
