Body washed up at Winchelsea Beach
The body of a 76-year-old woman, who vanished in the middle of the night from her home, has been found washed up on Winchelsea beach.
Shirley Coalbran, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday morning (January 7).
She had gone to bed at around 11pm and is believed to have left her house in Coghurst Road around 1am.

Hide AdThe pensioner, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, was known to like looking at the sea and taking walks along the seafront.
Her daughter, Dawn Leaney, told the Observer this morning: “My mother was found washed up on Winchelsea beach yesterday (Wednesday). She had Alzheimer’s and was besotted with her dog which she lost only a few weeks ago.”
