Bomb discovered near Hove leisure centre
A bomb has been discovered in a Hove leisure centre car park today (Thursday).
Police set up an exclusion zone around King Alfred Leisure Centre around 3pm after being called to reports of a small rusty object underneath some steps.
According to police, a disposal team attended the scene and disposed of the object, believed to be an unexploded Second World War Vintage.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “The car park and southern pavement have been closed while military ordnance disposal attend and assess the item. There have been no road closures.”
