Burwash
On Sunday morning the reverend Stephen France will officiate at his last service for St Bartholomew’s before heading for pastures new in London. The services at 11am and will be followed by a buffet lunch. We all wish Stephen and his family all the best in their new life.
Tonight is music night at the pavilion in Burwash common. These popular monthly events are all about local artists, who’s pleasure it is to entertain you. They will start at 8pm. The licensed bar will be open and there is a car park close by.

Hide AdTomorrow, Saturday , the Not so Young club are having a Come To Tea event at the village hall. You are all cordially invited to attend, from 2.30pm to 4pm. Entry is £1.50 and includes a cream tea. There will also be a tombola & raffle, bric a brac, books, homemade cakes 7 jams and plants & produce stalls. All proceeds will go to the clubs funds.
The next coffee and book event will be held on Thursday, at the village hall from 11.30pm to 12.30pm. Entry is 50p and includes a coffee & biscuit. On sale will be books, jigsaw puzzles, videos & dvd’s, tapes & cds. All proceeds will go to the village hall refurbishment fund. The next monthly Age Concern lunch club will be on Monday. The Burwash branch of Age Concern, invite the over 55’s for a lovely lunch in congenial surroundings. The two course meal is just £8 per person. If you would like to join them please call Jazz Botting on 01435 882033 or Heather Lewis on 882080 or Maddie Ashbee on 883233. They may also be able to arrange a lift for those who are unable to get there on their own.
Next Saturday. 27th October, The burwash Bonfire society will be holding their bonfire & firework display.
