Catsfield
Sports News: A quick look to see if there were any ducks on the huge pool of water at Horns Corner and our football supporters knew last Saturday’s game was called off. It seems that there were no local teams able to play and therefore the Football League officials will be actively re-arranging the fixtures. We weren’t scheduled to have a game tomorrow as our division has shrunk, not due to wet but teams pulling out. A match was played at Eastbourne, but being on chalk and better drained that isn’t so surprising.
Cricket news: well there isn’t much, except we are going to host the Sussex Girls Under-12 team again on 23rd May. Such enthusiasm, energy, skill and mountains of food were a revelation last year, as was the discipline and sportsmanship displayed. We thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and hope to see many Catsfield residents watching the spectacle this year.
