Chatsmore pupils raise funds for Mary's Meals

Mary’s Meals is an international aid charity that has its global headquarters in a rural barn in Scotland.
They provide over 1.2 million nutritious school lunches to the world’s hungriest children.

Hide AdThe meals are always served in a place of education which means that the children are nourished as they learn in order to build themselves a brighter future.
Mary’s Meals can provide one child in a developing country with a school lunch for one year for just £13.90.
At Chatsmore students held cake sales, sponsored events and gave their own money to support this important work.
The school had an original target of £1,390 (feeding 100 children for a year) but smashed it and raised £2059.56 thanks to the generosity of the whole school community.
The next fundraising campaign starts on the June 19.

Hide AdOver a four week period, the school hopes to raise as much as possible for local charity St Barnabas.
The fundraising efforts will finish with the whole school taking part in a seven mile charity walk along Worthing sea front on the July 21.
