Richard Moth, the Bishop of the Arundel and Brighton Catholic diocese which covers Shoreham, was among other church leaders and civic dignitaries who attended the service at St Anne’s church in Lewes on Saturday.

Since 1956, the Trust has assisted more than 500 churches. In 2012, it donated £3,000 to St Nicolas’ Church in Shoreham and St Nicolas Church in Middleton, and in 2013 it donated £9,000 to St Peter’s Church in Upper Beeding.
The Bishop of Chichester Martin Warner preached and prayers were read by Bishop Moth and Regional Baptist Minister Stuart Davison, with testimonies from churches that benefited from the trust.
