Clean up your smoke alarm
The appeal comes after the crew were called out to a property in Redlands Lane in Robertsbridge last Thursday (February 27).
Firefighters raced to the scene just before 11.30pm, only to find the alarm had been raised by a defective smoke detector.

Hide AdCrew manager Dan Burnett, who is based at Battle Fire Station, said: “It shows the importance of making sure smoke detectors are checked weekly and cleaned every six months.”
