Closed tip enrages motorists
Homeowners who cleared gardens and lofts last weekend were left frustrated when told the gates would remain shut until Tuesday.
Many dumped black bags along the road causing the re-opening to be delayed by around four hours while an earth-moving machine cleared the waste.

Joey Jones, 59, from Hastings, arrived at the site at 10.30am on Monday when there was already rubbish scattered across the road.
He said: "People were throwing bags anywhere. They were saying 'sod them' and were really angry.
"That place should be open until late in the evening. But only three cars can fit in there now and it is getting worse. They aren't doing their job properly."

"The closure does not give people the right to fly tip which is illegal and because there was so much rubbish at the entrance, it delayed the opening on Tuesday."
