Ian Burchfield, 50, from Littlehampton, had been discharged from hospital in Eastbourne at around 10.40am the same day.
CCTV shows him travelling on a train from Hampden Park station at 11.30am and getting into Worthing at about 1.25pm.

While Ian is no longer thought to be in the Eastbourne area, police hope another rail passenger may have seen him leaving Worthing station at around 1.30pm.
PC Heather Mackay said, “We are growing very concerned for Ian as he has suffered with mental health problems and has no phone on him. He has some cash and we know he has used some of this to catch the train.
“He caught the train from Hampden Park, changed at Eastbourne and Brighton, before leaving Worthing station at 1.30pm.
