Council objects to Lancing micro pub plans
Hopes for the empty Washeteria laundrette in Queensway to become a tiny pub selling local ales were dented when Lancing Parish Council’s (LPC) planning committee recommended to object to the plans.
At a meeting on May 21, committee members agreed the village did not need another licenced premises and lacked the necessary alcohol restrictions ‘to curb possible alcohol-related problems that might occur’.

Hide AdLPC chairman James Butcher said he supported the venture and would suggest that the objection be withdrawn.
This matter will be discussed at LPC’s full-council meeting tonight, which is open to the public.
