Countdown to Carnival Week
The carnival committee has put together five days of free community events which will support Senlac Scouts, Special Olympics Hastings & Rother and the Oliver Curd Trust.
It begins on Sunday July 19 with community hymn singing at the De La Warr Pavilion at 8pm, and the Carnival Court attending to officially open the week.

Hide AdOn Tuesday from 7pm there will be ‘It’s a Knockout’ at The Polegrove hosted by Commando Fitness and on Wednesday, at 7pm, the ever-popular Carnival Dog Show. On Thursday there will be a Carnival boot sale from 6pm at The Polegrove, and from 7pm the thrills of the traditional pram race leaving from West Station.
On Friday Party in the Park will be in The Polegrove from 7pm, with headline act Jay, Cheryl and Mike formerly of Bucks Fizz, followed by a firework display at 9.45pm
Bexhill Carnival Procession takes the limelight on Saturday arriving at the Polegrove between 3.30-4pm having snaked its way through town with 45 floats. The procession will start in Turkey road and take a small detour to overcome Sidley Bridge.
The fair will be open from the Tuesday evening onwards with rides and fun for all the family
