Couple ring the changes
Stephen, who started ringing when he was nine, and who is now tower captain of Laughton, rang a full three hour peal with five colleagues on the morning of his wedding.
Jennifer the same morning rang a quarter at her own Hailsham Parish Church.

Hide AdStephen is the fourth generation of bell-ringers on his mother's side and the third generation on his father's side.
His parents were born and bred in Laughton and Ripe and their families can be traced back to at least to the 1700s in that area.
After the wedding service, the bride and groom, and the groom's parents, went up into the Laughton bell tower in all their finery to give another short ring.
They honeymooned in Guernsey, the bells still ringing in their ears.
Bridesmaids were sisters Lisa and Christine Holford.
