An Eastbourne man has been named and charged in connection with a break-in at a chemist in the town.
At about 2.12am on Monday, March 2, police responded to an intruder alarm at Boots, in the Winifred Lee Health Centre, Wartling Road, police said.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and discovered the front entrance had been smashed, and a suspect was spotted inside the premises. He was challenged and arrested, police said.

Hide AdAlan Rowe, 42, unemployed, of Rotherfield Avenue, Eastbourne, was remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 March, charged with burglary and assault on an emergency worker.
