Eastbourne Police deal with spate of unlocked vehicles being entered by would-be thieves
Police said luckily there were no items inside the vehicles to be taken.
The incidents were noticed after one victim reported having seen someone on their Ring doorbell entering the vehicle.

Hide AdThis was shared to local social media pages prompting others to notice their vehicles had been entered too.
A spokesperson for the police said, “A handful of vehicles in the Stone Cross area have been entered by unknown suspects, the vehicles in question were left unlocked by owners.
“As such we are reminding vehicle owners to ensure their cars/vans are locked with some appropriate advice.”
Eastbourne Police have urged the public to lock their vehicle whenever they leave and to take personal belongings with them.
It is also recommended that items are not left in view.
