Hailsham man, 70, robbed and attacked in his own home

The intruders entered the house in Terminus Place, Hailsham, between 7pm and 7.30pm on Thursday (20 February), police said.
They took the occupant’s wallet, which contained bank cards, and some £300 cash.

Hide AdThe man was assaulted sustained a black eye and a cut arm, police said.
He was taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital for checks and treatment.
Both suspects were men in their early 20s, police said.
One was described as black, short and of slight build. The other was white, 5ft 11ins, weighing around 12 stone, police said.
Detective Constable Carly Owen, investigating, said: “The victim was struck with a metal object, possibly a large torch, and was punched several times in the face.
