Fly a first for Bersted Brooks
Bersted Brooks has entered the annals of UK insect enthusiasts.
The site has produced the first UK record of the picture-winged fly, Tephritis divisa.
The 19 hectares north of Rowan Way have seen more than 11,000 trees planted over the past five years, including black poplar, a Sussex priority species.
