Hide AdCouncil leader Cllr Gill Brown said the tough settlement had been anticipated. 'We are still considering all the figures, but this settlement from government does appear to allow the council to remain in line with its long-term financial forecast,' she said.
'It will not force us to make any changes to our financial plans.'
But she warned: 'While these figures are tight, and we can work with them, we can't expand or develop new or better services.'
