The campaign, which is being led by borough councillor Andy Batsford, is calling for all traffic enforcement officers to be placed outside primary schools on a random rota for the first 45 minutes in the morning during term time.
He said: “Children will be asked sign a child friendly petition in school asking the county council to carefully consider this request.

“I am delighted to say Ark Blacklands Academy’s head of school Natalie Rankin has given this campaign her full backing and this has led to many other schools joining in.
“It would be amazing if people can give this campaign all their support as we can make a real change to the streets outside our primary schools.
“It’s about prioritising our children’s safety outside schools, enforcing parking regulations and preventing dangerous driving by those road users who make the journey to school so treacherous for school children.”
