Lyminster school fête supports Nepal families
Children, parents and staff at Lyminster Primary School joined together in the fun-filled fundraising to help people affected by the devastating Nepal earthquakes.
The event last Thursday was masterminded by Annette Alderson-Long, a teaching assistant in year five, and the rest of year five worked with her to make it a huge success.
“I am absolutely thrilled,” said Annette.

The fête offered a whole range of activities, including a lucky dip, raffle, nail salon, tombola and Beat the Goalie.
There was also a spirited silent auction with many prizes, which were donated by local businesses, including Arundel Lido and Harbour Park.
Readers wishing to donate can text ‘DONATE’ to 70000 to give £5 to the Disasters Emergency Committee.
