The Society would love more younger people in the village to get involved. and, while you’ve got the diary out, the 2017 Flower Show will be on Saturday July 29th — for those who know (and show) their onions.
SW CONSTRUCTION: Everything seems fairly quiet on the construction front. Jim and Peter, on behalf of the Parish Council, were invited to a liaison meeting this week. All the planning seems to be working — school bus, rubbish/recycling collections, access for emergency services, etc — but we will report next week on anything from the meeting.
SONIA BARNES: Sonia, who lives at the Lodge opposite the end of Solomon’ Lane, and has been a familiar face to so many of us for so many years in the reception at Martin’s Oak Surgery has now retired from there. We wish her all the best for the future.
AND A SPECIAL THOUGHT: Everyone in the village will want to wish all the very best to Micky Gray who has been in the wars a bit recently.
