Hide AdLynne Smith, day centre co ordinator, said: “The long awaited resources centre will be offering quality care and access to community services.
“For several years, Rustington and the surrounding area have had very limited community services for the over-55s and their carers. They have had to travel to Worthing, Chichester and other areas. Incurring high travel costs, and with the immense increase of local traffic, time is the essence in getting from one area to another.”
An open day is being held on Friday, July 3, from 10am to 2pm, offering the chance to meet many local support teams like fire officers, Red Assure community alarms and police officers. Free refreshments will be available.
Lynne added: “Our aims and promise is to focus on carers and their needs, where their loved ones can go for a day, evening, or the first time ever, weekend. This service will be vital during family holidays, outings or in a crisis situation.
