Hide AdInsp Moore has taken charge of the neighbourhood policing team, working closely with communities on issues directly affecting them.
Both uniformed inspectors joined the Sussex force in 1988 and have wide experience of working across the county, including stints in Littlehampton previously, giving them links in the community on which they aim to build in their new jobs.
Insp Moore lived in the town for 10 years and played football for Littlehampton Town and Rustington.
Det Insp McKnight, with 20 years' police service, has lived in the Littlehampton area most of that time.
