Katy’s Video Log: Funding boost helps local projects tackle crime
More than 90 applications were submitted for a share of the Fund, made available by the Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne.
Local community groups, particularly those from the voluntary and community sector, were invited to submit bids for funding to support crime reduction and community safety initiatives. Applications had to demonstrate support for the priorities set out in Mrs Bourne’s Police & Crime Plan. These include tackling antisocial behaviour and addressing community priorities such as drug and alcohol harm, as well as reducing reoffending and the impact of domestic abuse and hate crime.
