The eye centre helps people suffering with potentially blinding eye conditions. It is hoped to continue to improve sight services to the region. To deliver this project we are working in partnership with the Lions Clubs International Foundation and Moorfields Eye Charity.
Funds are urgently need to raise £30,000 to help complete the build and equip the Lions International Eye Centre. While the centre is up and running there is still some work to be done to ensure it is fully operational and functioning to high standards.

It is set to become a centre of excellence in the provision of eye care services and ophthalmological surgical training. As soon as operating theatres are operational, it is intended to start a training programme with the potential to train 32 ophthalmologists every year.
Donations will help fund medical equipment, to sponsor trainee ophthalmologists or contribute towards funds to help poorer patients access medicines and spectacles. If you would like to support this appeal, it will enable us to bring real relief to people across the whole of the West Africa region.
Horsham Lions Club have recently made a further donation to the project. To learn more about Horsham Lions Club contact Lion Clare Wilson e:[email protected], or to make a donation to the Korle Bu Eye Centre, contact Lion David Trowbridge e:[email protected].
