LETTER: Police numbers have fallen

But in practice the net number of PCs and PCSOs seems to have fallen over some years, while many Parish Councils are paying for Wardens, with many residents paying more for less. Indeed, many vacated PCSO positions are apparently to be refilled, after having been made redundant!
So perhaps the PCC can tell us i) what were the redundancy costs,ii) what has been the net reduction in PCs and PCSOs over the past 5 years and iii) how much has the police precept been increased over the same period? Whilst at it, she might also let us know the trends in crimes that are reported - but not investigated.
