LETTER: Roundly abused by cycle riders

The other evening I was roundly abused by two cyclists, despite my pointing to the footpath sign and the other picture based signs that clearly indicated ‘no cycling’.
I have no issue sharing the bridleways and other common access pathways, but why do cyclists think they can ignore or abuse those of us enjoying the countryside on foot!
