Christ’s Hospital maths winners
The Christ’s Hospital team will now go on to compete against teams from all over the United Kingdom for this year’s UK Team Maths Challenge trophy.
The final will take place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on Monday 23 June 2014. Over 1600 schools entered this year’s competition and only 80 have qualified to take part in the final.

Hide AdThe National Final of the Team Maths Challenge, which is run by the UK Mathematics Trust, involves teams of four pupils from Years 8 and 9 competing in:
l A group circus – involving practical maths problems;
l A relay race – a combination of speed across the room and speed at solving maths problems;
l A crossnumber (mathematical crossword) with two members of the team working on the across clues and two on the down;
l A series of shuttles where teams compete against the clock to answer a series of questions; and
l A poster competition – designing a poster on a mathematical subject.
