Dismay over the risk to bookshop
I was dismayed to read in the County Times (Horsham edition) of the difficulties facing the Christian bookshop in South Street, Horsham.
Doug Fletcher and his staff have been unfailingly helpful: they can obtain books from small specialist publishers and even privately produced volumes; they have found secondhand copies of out-of-print titles; on one occasion, a book arrived from America in less than a fortnight.
Although the stock they hold is mainly devotional, they can get works on a much wider range of subjects.
All this is in addition to the pastoral activities highlighted in your article.
