Exciting theatrical success
Will Kirkham has been awarded a Drama Scholarship to Hurstpierpoint College. With two contrasting pieces for his audition – tried and tested a few days earlier in Upper School Chapel - Will obviously ticked all the boxes for the award panel, and I’m sure all those who saw his performance in Chapel would agree.
Arthur Handscomb heard of his success after auditioning for the National Youth Music Theatre’s 2014 Company – one of a hundred selected from over a thousand who auditioned. Arthur has been cast in their forthcoming production of The Ragged Child. He has since heard that he’s been chosen to be one of seven boys to perform an excerpt from The Ragged Child in a fund raising evening this Friday, at The Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.

Last year Will played Shmuel in an excerpt from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Arthur was Billy in Billy Liar. This academic year they both appeared in Much Ado About Nothing (Arthur as Claudio and Will as Don John), as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival at The Leatherhead Theatre. We wish them every success!
