Here's a funny thing
Graham claims that Rustington Parish Council is in danger of losing its "political independence" because a young man is standing in the by-election as a Lib-Dem.
Now here's a funny thing: Graham was formerly chairman of Rustington Parish Council and, simultaneously, a Conservative member of both Arun district and West Sussex county councils. So, in his mind, "independent" obviously means closet Tory.

Hide AdI contend there are only two ways a person can be properly independent: one is by never voting for a political party in any election, and the other is by voting for a different party every election in strict rotation to ensure fairness!
Graham says that political views are not aired in meetings or evident in decisions. Well, if the council consists entirely of "independents" who are actually Tory, different political views would hardly be noticeable, would they?
In any case, why can't Jamie Bennett be trusted to keep party politics out of parish affairs like Graham claims to?
Which do you want? An open and honest Lib-Dem or a Tory seeking to deceive?
