LETTER: ‘Irrational’ rulings by inspectors

The case concerned a planning application for a basement which was rejected by the council. Now I quote ‘The owner of the house then appealed and a planning inspector overturned the council’s decision.
However, the council protested to Greg Clark, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, who upheld the original decision, describing the inspector’s ruling as ‘irrational’.’

Hide AdI realise that the situation regarding the North Horsham development is very different, particularly as our local council is promoting the development not opposing it.
But the inspector’s decision in our case is certainly ‘irrational’ (see letters passim) so maybe there is hope yet from the judicial review?
