LETTER: Polling cards
On Thursday, August 6, there was an election to fill a parish councillor vacancy for Churchill Ward.
Apparently no polling cards were delivered to the residents, in order to save £1,600 of election expense.

Hide AdThere are two polling stations – how did residents know where they were, and indeed, which one to go to, to vote?
I know that not many people bother to vote, but surely failing to provide information for the electorate can’t be acceptable democratic practice?
It all makes me feel a bit uneasy, really.
