To access the Promenade, cyclist will need to make a detour from the perfectly useable roads. What benefit is this to them? If they want to enjoy the seafront, too, they can do this from Sea Road, or even by pushing their cycles along the Promenade. Have none of the council officials ever been to the seafront on a busy day? How will the safety of disabled people, the elderly and children be protected from cyclists? Is Arun District Council willing to meet the compensation costs of any injured persons as a result of the inevitable accidents?
