Satisfying to see goal achieved
So it is quite satisfying that the goal was achieved late last year with the publication of the six volume hardback ESV readers Bible. I can do my reading daily in these beautiful volumes.
Many people around the world will benefit from this division of the Bible into easier smaller sections.

But when a striker scores a goal, they must push for a second. So I am already working on another, very simple idea to help people with their reading. Strictly speaking the Christian scriptures are only the New Testament, the Old Testament is the Jewish Bible.
My idea is to publish the New Testament with divisions to read it in a month/30 days. The idea actually is not new. It comes from Islam, and the division of the Quran into 30 sections, especially for the month of Ramadan. I have found this very helpful, as I myself have read the Quran many times, as many Christians have and do daily.
With Lent fast approaching, Ramadan is actually on my mind. Both involve fasting and the concentration on scripture. Personal sacrifice and the giving of charity to those in most need around us.

Hide AdIt took many years for a simple idea to publish the Bible in its five natural sections - Law, History, Poetry, Prophets, New Testament - to come about. But if you contact enough people, multiple times, eventually the idea gets to someone with the ability to make it happen.
Christianity is creative. We have the best book, we just need to present it in new attractive ways. The New Testament in 30 days would be an automatic success. It works with the Quran already.
Last time I only thought to contact the Bexhill Observer at the end of my years of efforts, this time I contact you at the beginning. I could be pushing this for many years, or perhaps someone will move on the idea much quicker this time?
A Christian in a small seaside town can contribute to Bible reading around the world. God bless.
