Spooky half term events at Wetland Centre
Families can go ‘wild’ on two natural play areas, ride the Wetlands Discovery Boat Safari and see the sea ducks dive for fish - all included in your admission price. Hand feed ducks, geese and swans from around the world with grain available from the gift shop.
Special spooky events this half term are Pumpkin Carving workshops on Tuesday October 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30.

Hide AdFor £5 you can decorate a hollowed out pumpkin to take home for Halloween. On Halloween day children seven and up can attend the Wetland Witch’s Potions Class for £3 to learn the darker secrets of wetland plants and learn to write spells with quill feather pens.
The WWT gift shop has insect masks, rubber bugs and other creepy crawlies for kids while the Water’s Edge Cafe is serving pumpkin muffins along with your cappuccino and spider-shaped biscuits for children.

Teasel treats warts. Loosestrife clears eye pus. Fleabane fights fleas. Some plants have dark histories and some are even poisonous! Learn some gross wetland secrets about wild plants while mixing up potions with the Wetland Witch - includes using a feather quill to record your spells on parchment!
Select a time slot 12.30pm – 1.30pm or 2-3pm.
£3 per child, accompanying adult is free, Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Minimum 7 years of age.
