Hide AdWhilst not all development is a bad thing, it is very clear this coastal strip that we live in cannot sustain any more large tracts of housing, as services are at breaking point and beyond.
The UK Independence party simply says that, where enough voices of opposition can be raised, a local referendum should be called, to settle the issue.
I invite the Conservative-controlled Arun District Council to adopt this formula, or at the very least forward the idea to the new central government coalition.
Otherwise, this area will continue to see a declining quality of life for its residents.
