Part of A259 closed due to accident in Icklesham

Part of a busy main road has been closed due to a serious accident.

The incident happened in Icklesham at around 10.30am this morning (Sunday, June 28) the A259 between Icklesham and Rye remains closed in both directions.

Firefighters attended the scene after receiving reports that a person was trapped inside a vehicle but upon arriving found no one was trapped.
